BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENT & MODIFICATION

This 1-hour Equine Behaviour Consultation is essentially the most popular service I provide. It is an in-depth consultation where we explore every aspect of the problem behaviours happening with your horse.

It involves an in-depth analysis of history, management, environment and training. Together we explore every aspect of the worrying behaviours on offer, their triggers and the reinforcers at play. Understanding the behaviours themselves, their function to the horse and the triggers which elicit the behaviours is a complex set of analyses. and is the way forward to planning the help you need.

The 1-hour Equine Behaviour Consultation will provide you with all the information as to why the behaviours are happening. We explore the factors that drive the behaviours and the reasons why they keep being repeated. Understanding all these aspects will lead us to plan possible management changes and develop a focused bespoke training plan for you to take forward.

You will gain a greater understanding of your horse and I make sure you are confident in the training plan I set up for behaviour modification. Everything is broken down into bite-sized chunks so you are not flooded with information and you will have a concise plan of actions to follow.

I am always here to further support you as you implement changes and training, or whenever you need continued help and advice.

Booked through appointment only. This full consultation requires at least an hour in which we explore every aspect of your horse’s history, the environmental influences as well as breaking down all the observable behaviours. Once a very clear picture has been built then behaviour modification plans will be discussed and a training plan implemented.
